Magnevolt manufactures several models of Survivor Locator Lights. These attach to Life Vests and are activated by removing a brightly colored handle and immersing in seawater. These Survivor Locator Lights produce one candle power of light for eight hours. The storage life of these batteries is five years with the handle installed.
